I think it would be one of the easier projects for an average TRS'er to just build a set out of wood or metal to desired dimensions.

We have a set of 2x8 stacked on top of each other, each board cut a little short then the rest, like stairs. We use them if a truck comes to the dock and is too short.

Ramp. I use these for the Fun50. The Ranger sits high enough it doesn't need them. In fact, I was crawling around under it with the pressure washer this morning.

Mine are just enough different, so as to avoid patent violation; I'll grab a picture later.

I set the front ones up with 2 blocks, you drive over the 1st one and then you know you are on the flat of the ramp.

I want to build a steel set that will allow from 6" to 48" of ramp. I don't have enough height for a real lift but would sure be nice to sit underneath while doing some tasks....

But mine of treated 2x6s are over 30 years old. Will the ones you buy last that long?

I have the metal ones and my son and i use them regularly. I like to buy them from garage sales for like 5 bucks because the costs are so crazy for ramps. Check craigslist too

I forgot wood got expensive. You'll have to use something cheap like titanium

Yeah... it just keeps getting harder for me crawling around on my hands a knees placing the jack and jack stands. This escape would be easier with a low profile long reach jack... but I've yet to upgrade the floor jack. These ramps would solve all that... and the escape developed an oil leak and I need to get under it and check it out.

I guess if I don't like them... my son in law expressed interest in a set and I can just gift them at Christmas.

I have a homemade set like Erics, built 'em myself in the early 80's
they have plywood for the base plate, it extends out a foot so the tire is on it before it hits the incline.

My metal truck ones have an extra leg just after the ramp portion. I think they were built for F250 and F350 class trucks. I’ve probably had them 20 years now and I’m not sure they are made anymore. I don’t recall seeing anything like them ever since.

I have 3 sets of ramps, 1st set was a christmas gift, very heavy duty, can remove the ramp part and have vehicle on stands, can hold a 3/4 ton truck easily. 2nd set is a poly (plastic) set like in the o.p., I got it for the hhr, it gets it up enough to change oil or other things like a starter replacement ( but if it wont start, how do ya get it up on ramps?) Back when I bought the poly ones the hhr still had that front bumper valance that wasnt far from the ground and most ramps wouldnt work. My 3rd set is a heavily built homemade set (not made by me) they were at a garage sale for $10 and I just couldnt let them be. I use them with the escape mostly. Since the hhr bumper got “modified” after a unplanned off-highway incident, you could use any ramps on it.
Every flea market and most yard sales Ive been to this summer has had a set of those stamped steel ramps, $10-$20 a pair average price. I folded one once, drove up on it (with the green’93 ranger), hit the brakes and it folded/collapsed. I wouldn’t get those. Ideally Id have a lift, realistically I doubt it will ever happen.

Awesome, but will be heavy, maybe throw some wheels on the back so you can tilt em up and roll em around.

A set of these probably costs 75% of what a lift does though right? -__-
