1. Because it's in the way when working on vehicles while doing anything on the sides of the vehicles.You do this every winter? Why not just leave it up all year?
Thank you. We get a lot of snow on occasion, freezing rain on top of snow and then more snow, and times when winter can't make up it's mind what it wants to do with a lot of freeze thaw cycles. I don't want the thing collapsing from the accumulated weight, so erred on the side of building it too strong.
damn stout piece.....you could land a Chinook on that thing.
