2.3L ('83-'97) Capped line on throttle body?

What is this capped line on the throttle body? It looks like a factory cap to me, so my guess would be it's for the cruise control option, but I'm not sure. I just want to make sure it shouldn't be connected to something before I move on with things. Thanks!

That would be "ported" vacuum, its in front of the throttle plate, so not engine vacuum
Best guess would be it was used for EVAP system on earlier years

Ported vacuum has low vacuum at idle and higher vacuum as throttle opens, so opposite of engine(regular) vacuum

On mine, this is correct^
there’s a short hose going from that port to the port on the valve cover right in front of it (where spark wires are wrapping around). Your throttle body is different than my 94 though. Must have had a redesign at some point.

Thanks! This is good to know. I thought mine was ok with the line capped, but it's nice to be certain. :)
