Shouldn't be a problem if you can find a compatible front driveshaft and have (or make) the hole in the floorboard.

The 1350 has a slip yoke on the front unless you find one from a high rider. It works fine with the D35 TTB. Dunno about a '01 tho.

The transmission extension housings around 98 apparently started getting the bolt holes for the shifter removed, so check for a spot to put the shifter on the trans, but other than that SenorNoob is correct, you'll have all of that to deal with...

You can make a bracket to replicate the bosses to cheat your way out of that snag:

Remember the 1350 transfer case has a 1210 u-joint inside, and the low range only has 4 planets, so it isn't near as strong as the 1354.

Yet you never hear of anyone breaking a 1350, so I wouldn't worry too much about it, plus I don't think that all of the 1354's had more planets, just some.

Saying that, I'm running a 1354, I'm on my second, but my first one died from axle wrap related failure (output bearing circlip groove broken)
