I'm for this idea.

I like the political threads. I also like the joke around threads. I think the political stuff has been driving some people away from the Tailgate and killing some of our longer-running establishments.

I haven't seen the threadkiller thread in so long that we have a new one and you have to go to the bottom of the page to find the pointless thread. I can remember when that was never out of the top 3.

"Decisions are made by those who show up." -I say LEAVE IT THE SAME!
Government's involvement in our lives and most assuredly regarding automobiles, or in our case trucks, has reached epidemic status!:icon_surprised:

Proposed government standards for emissions and fuel consumption have lead to the demise of the Ranger enthusiasts simply because there will be NO MORE!

Stick your head in the sand folks...go ahead!:shok:

You, the members of this forum, need to wake up! If you want to just talk 'Ranger', DON"T READ THE THREAD!:thefinger:

There are REASONS for this...they do not get any more MPG that a full size PU for one...the Ranger is neglected because of many reasons.

I used to think politics was boring....these days you had better pay attention to what is going on your life and liberty may depend on it. The government wants you to be bored and not pay attention....easier to take things from you that way.
there's a difference between paying attention to politics and stuff like:

"the liberals suck"
"no man you're wrong, the republicans suck"

and repeat ad infinitum

Which has what to do with the government? They're subject to the same regulations.

Igornant. The point of a separate forum is so we don't have to scroll through a cluster f*ck of political bull shit to view the Ranger stuff. When you see, what, 25 threads on a page, and 20 of them are political shit, it's sure f*cking hard to find the Ranger topics.

My credo
Fortune Favors the Brave
I vote for putting political stuff on a separate section/thread.
even the booty and racks thread are buried dwon deep because politicthreads are always on top.
Yes politics is a serious subject, and all people should be concerned, but we come to TRS for fun and relaxation, not for more boring stuff.

Also, just because a few members like to talk around the same subject on like 50 different threads(politics), it doesnt mean we ALL should have to read em.

Your politics threads have the booty and racks threads buried! All the fun!! so...

These guys are right!!!! There's too much politics in the Tailgate.......and in the world too....

now...... :icon_idea: if we could get just as upset about the jerks in Washington DC as we are about the *&&%$$%^$ political stuff on this site....

things mightchange for the better in both places......

EDIT: while we're at it....could we get a separate forum for homosexual surveys/comments?

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.......also.....could we get a separate forum for ANY type of discussion concerning male genitals?

No offense, but the premise in your post is pointless.

It's the Tailgate. Therefore it is an off-topic forum, no dedicated RBV content:

Off-topic forum. Some posts may be NSFW / NSFK.

Says so right in the forum title.

Again: nobody is forcing anybody to read, open, or participate in the polthreads. If you want to keep OT threads active or open a new one, by all means do so. But for heaven's sake, stop the incessant crying about it. It's not required reading; agreed it's not something everyone is interested in, but at the same time it's not that big a deal to skip the stuff that doesn't interest you and find what does. What is it, one mouse click to advance a page, two if it's on page three? I know it's a workout, but....

Come on, lets keep this in perspective.

EDITED: this is gonna turn out great.....my Doc told me that I needed to work-out more................

RE-EDITED: annnnnnnnnnnnd sometimes I click on a thread that I really don't care about just to see what a certain person said, because I know I'll A. I'll learn something....or B. I'll get a good laugh(which I really need)....or C. I'll get a good laugh because of the stupidity of the comment.

(I think we ALL know what category i fit (fit: verb; to have a fit.) in.)

LOL! you've admitted the political discussions are more popular than all the other threads in the Tailgate forum......attracting participation is why it's there.

Maybe have a Cry Baby Forum......for those that 'cry'?:bawling:
