Does a 4.0L radiator from an explorer bolt on to an 88 BII?

You'll have to be more specific. there is no SAID 4.0L rad. My old ranger (4.0L) had a single core rad that was the same as any of the 2.9L rads. Not to be the idiot I know your talking about the HD rad that was installed in most Explorer's with an A4LD. Also known as a 4 core rad.

Yes it will bolt in. some of the hoses may need to be trimmed or replaced. whatever you desire.

Yeah that's what i meant haha. The 4 core. I have been running a little hot with the 2.9 single core so i was gonna go pick up a new one.

Thank you very much for answering that haha. I asked it like a month ago and didn't get an answer.

oh and as for that other post, I have a 4.0L engine with a manual trans not the 2.9.....

I had no problems for over 3 years with a single core and an electric fan. only reason i switched was because of the heat issues with the turbo.

um yeah that's why I'm doing it.... turbo

Thank you guys! I had to replace the fan because my idler pulley seized and unscrewed itself from the block and destroyed the old fan. I have the fan from a 4.0 auto trans engine... not sure if that makes a difference, but anyways Thanks again!
