I thought this had a bottom in it... no bottom. So I suppose digging a small hole and not using a biodegradable bag is an option too.

You could have saved yourself a ton of money and space if you just used a 5 gallon bucket, 7 if you have bad knees

I want to get a stove, is it worth it for the Coleman dual-fuel. They're like $190 but I want to get something that actually works to cook stuff. Isn't it pretty much like the really old ones from the 60's that's what we had as kids (parents had).
They say it takes Coleman fuel or unleaded gas. So does that include gas w/ ethanol?
Also if anyone has one of these would like to hear the experience.

You can get dual fuel or traditional single fuel. You might find a good used stove much cheaper. We have a thread for this stuff.

Camping a few years ago it occured to me it is kinda a PITA to fight with a fire first thing in the morning for basic stuff like frying bacon or heating water... I remembered dad had a Coleman stove so I asked if I could borrow it. He said he is done camping and and would be happy to get it out...

I got this one of amazon, it works pretty well. Its on the cheaper side, but the skillet is super nice and it works good!

I have a dual fuel lamp that works great and I only use regular e10 87 in it.

Depending on what you plan on using the stove for and how often you might consider a propane one like shown above. They take those smaller 1lb bottles or you can get an adapter for a larger one.

That’s what I have as well, I like it because it’s very low maintenance.

I've been watching this 12 volt fridge for a minute... it went on sale a couple days ago... and got delivered today. Unfortunately the Amazon driver carried it up the driveway and set it on the porch upside down. Gonna have to wait for tomorrow to test it out. 42qt capacity and it is built like a tank... even the handles. The real selling point for me was a 3 year warranty. Not as cheap as some but far more budget friendly then a Domentic. Just looking forward to not buying ice and all the food not soaking in hot dog flavored ice water.

We have a couple camping trips planned for next summer... and TRS's 25th anniversary festivities. I also plan to use it on the deck when company is over and probably a garage fridge in the summer. So it will get some serious work over the next 3 years.

I was also eyeballing a Kamp-Rite tent cot.

First because I needed a tent anyway... and second... I'm getting to old to sleep on the ground. I found this one on Amazon as "used - like new" for a pretty good discount. Well it showed up today... took about 2 minutes to set up and I noticed this...

There was actually a phone number fir the seller... so I called. They said I could send it back or offered me 25% discount to just keep it. I countered with 40% off. We settled at 35% off my purchase price in form of a refund.

I put a $5 roll of tent repair tape in my cart... and I got my new tent for right at 1/2 price.

Lol... now I'm gonna see how I can spend my savings.

Back to the cooler... plugged it in... set the temp... and within minutes it brought temp to my set value (i verified it with my mechanical temp gauge). I honestly had to put my ear to the vent just to ensure it was running. Thing is really quiet...

You know… build a wheeled chassis with an engine in under that tent/cot and you’d have yourself a truck with a rooftop tent. What an invention that would be.

I looked at those electric coolers a while back. I spend most of the summer with a cooler of ice in the bed, so that would have been nice. Only problem is all the ones I looked at had no IP rating for water, so can't really leave it outside incase it rains.

There are people that rig these up on a roof rack to use as a roof top tent. Also saw where they put them across bed rails in a pick up.

I've seen insulated/waterproof covers for 12 volt coolers. Just have to keep the vents open to vent the workings.

Explorer Bear also makes a 12 qt one... you could just keep it in the cab.
