Camper Top

Anyone know where to get a sick camper top for a 2002 Ford Ranger xlt. Benn trying to find a good one in my area with no luck.

Welcome to TRS

Our Rangers had 3 different bed sizes in 2002, and XLT model doesn't help to know which one you might have
Regular cab had 3 sizes
6ft length and full width, Style side
6ft length and narrow width, Flare side(aka Step side)
7ft length and full width Style side, called the Long Bed Ranger

Extended cab(aka super cab) had 2 sizes
6ft length and full width, Style side
6ft length and narrow width, Flare side(aka Step side)

The regular cab and extended cab used the same beds, 6ft, but in the two different widths

The flare side caps are hard to find
As are Long bed models

So which size are you looking for, and is there a preferred color?


There is a used parts site you can try
car-part.com

select your year, then Ford Ranger
Then select part as "Cargo cover/shade"
Then select your area, zip code
Then search
It will then ask what years, change it to 1993 and 2011, as these would all fit if bed size matches(see above)

Most will have pictures of the Ranger with the cap/cover

When you aren't looking for one... they're beside the road with a "Free" sign taped to the windows.

Persistence will reward you... look at the want ads everyday. Then be willing to travel even a couple hours to pick it up.

Some wreckers list caps/tonneau covers and some don't, but its FREE to have a look, lol
