Hey folks. I'm currently building out my truck to camp in the bed. I built a platform and I have a topper on the back but it's only the height of the cab. I'd like it to be a bit higher.

I know there are some models to buy new but I'm not looking to spend 2 grand on a topper.

I've been scouring craigslist and calling around when I see used trucks in lots with those type of shells but am striking out.

Any suggestions on where to look???

You might try a junkyard.

I know the local U-Pull-It gets $150 for a topper.

Facebook marketplace. Tacoma/Toyota pickup shells will probably fit too if you're not super picky about the body contours matching perfectly.

Facebook marketplace! I've been through this twice with my truck. I picked up a cap spent the whole spring and summer painting it put it on the truck, it was slightly too big, and way too high for my purposes, so I sold, got one fits perfectly same color code paint! Its on my truck now. I finally got the Yakima gutter mounts bolted on.
One of these days I need to connect the brake light wiring!
