Just a simple question what year did Ford put a cam synchro on the 2.3 was it 95 or 96 or a different year

From the "tech section", Ranger engines, 4-Cylinders:

CPS (Cam Position Sensor) was added starting in 1995 (1994 in California).
At this time Ford changed to a 104-pin computer(EEC-V, OBD II), it was a 60-pin(EEC-IV, OBD I) and moved the DIS functions into the computer

OK thanks, another question I have 2.5 with a spun bearing, if I got a 95-97 2.3 since the 2 engines are the same in every way mechanically would I have any problem with either A) reusing my 2.5 harness with the 2.3 engine or B) using the 2.3 harness with 2.5 computer
