Another weight data point, Freightliner says their eCascadia has an increased tare weight of 900-1360kg (2-3klbs) over the diesel:

However, the range is 225-250 miles at that weight so it's just for short hauls. Obviously enough battery to do 600-1000 miles would make it much heavier to something in the 5-10k range that I guesstimated

I don't count birthday's anymore...just happy to be looking down at the ground instead of looking up
Wind and turbine power....
DOT could always embed a coupla million miles of roadway with electric "slots" and scale this up....

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Well if the batteries were recharged with wind power it would be the same thing :)

And you could always carry a portable generator, lol
We just need to harness the wind as it’s moving...

Come on Ron, we can figure out perpetual motion.

It isn't that hard.

Take a an electric car. Put a solar panel on the roof big enough to run the car and hook it up to the battery. Take a spotlight, point it at solar panel and hook it up to the battery. Drive forever!

Overthinking again

You just need to lift the rear of vehicle so its always going down hill, DUH
And of course add hydraulics so you can lower the back and raise the front if you need to back up

Now hey! That sounds like something old Wile E. Coyote would do. Kind of like when he strapped an outboard motor to his back and stuck the lower end into a bathtub behind him, and promptly went zooming off a cliff! LMAO!!
