Ive read a few posts about using c-4's and AOD's. Has anyone ever used a small block C-6 in a ranger swap? Is it too big? Ive got a good low milage c6 behind a 351w that's doing nothing but taking u space and was wondering if it could be used.

I think the trans tunnel has to be enlarged or a body lift used.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I can’t answer your question. But I think if I had a 351/C6 combo, I’d stick the whole mess in a Ranger.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
C6's were good transmissions, during the years I did the automatic transmissions at the dealer the only thing I ever did to a C6 was replace a few convertor seals. But, they're a lot bigger and the eat up more power. If you can make it fit it should work great and I'm a big fan of using what you've got, that's why my Ranger is the first vehicle I've built with an automatic transmission, I had 2 of them. If it works now I'd still tear it down and go through it before building a truck around it.
