The ‘02 Explorer 4door came with the M5OD-R4. It was a 1 year thing, used a dual mass flywheel with a different spline count input shaft from the R1, and I’ve never actually seen one... IIRC, They only made about 2300 of them.Np144 is found in AWD Durangos.
I have never seen an '02 Explorer 4 dr with manual - not saying they don't exist, I've just never seen one. Would right up there with the 3.0 T-5 bell housing on unicorn scale.
I have a '02 Explorer 2 dr on driveway, but it has BW1354.Just for reference the M5OD R-2 tail housing has 1 more bolt than M5OD R-1, so I don't believe they swap.
If I was real industrious, I could get you pictures as both are in garage, but they are kinda buried, so there would be some garage cleaning involved. And if I start that, the wife would want the job finished.
