I’ve read that on the 95 Ranger 2.3 manual trans that when driving and over the 3k rpms it’s like hitting a wall. Stumbling misfiring and bucking, no codes. I saw a tsb bulletin on the camshaft synchronizer, y’all have and symptoms like this? Where is it located?

what year and engine do you have? a 95 2.3 Lima? we aren't sure because this is the 2001 and newer 2.3 Duratec section.

When an engine runs fine to a certain point and then suddenly falls flat the way you describe is often related to a fuel delivery issue. Clogged fuel filter being the primary suspect.

Just replaced fuel filter with a wix filter 4 days ago. Fuel pump replaced a year ago.

Anybody replace their camshaft synchronizer on their 1995 2.3 Lima engines? If so where’s it located? Google doesn’t help.

Hook up a vac guage. Do an exhaust restriction test and a valve timing test (youtube vids on both) this will tell you if its a cam issue or another possibility, clogged cat.

I deleted the cat already, so I’ve check that off the list.
