Come on Ford - the manual transmission needs to be available in something other than the stripper models.
You upgrade to running boards - it upgrades you to the Mid equipment package and removes the manual (probably because it adds remote start which isn't compatible with the manual).
We're replacing a loaded '02 Ford Explorer Sport with 5spd. We don't want to go backwards.
Jeep will let me build a Rubicon with manual, running board, heated steering wheels and seats; heck I can even find one on the lot.
manual 'squatch is going to be late build.
I agree, I almost think we have too many models.
Wife wants middle of the road, I know she needs automatic 4wd.
So Black Diamond it is.
But you can only get marine grade vinyl seats... cloth would be nice
Can only get the modular front bumper... for the same money (on about every other trim) the winch "capable" one that has foglights would be nice
Black Diamond black alloys are a $1k option.
Drop down a tier to Big Bend and you can get everything including different black painted alloys with no upcharge... but you can't get automatic 4wd or a rear locker unless you go 'squatch.
Sasquatch would be great for me (who doesn't care about automatic 4wd of course) or a toy... but for a family car there is a lot of unneeded mpg killing fluff in that kind of expensive package.
