I have a '88 bronco 2 5 speed, I just installed a 4.0 from a '94 exploder auto. I used the explorer harness but didn't swap dashes. I also used the auto computer if that would help with my question. I also know that it's not the engine itself I took it out of the explorer which ran and drove. So my issues are that it's running too rich, I can smell gas on the driver side in the engine bay but I havent seen a gas leak. It will idle "ok" seems a little rough. While driving it will skip/jump while getting up to speed. I can't even get to 4th gear it runs ok in 3rd gear and when I shift to 4th it shakes like it's lacking fuel or something. Driving it up hill it will back fire constantly and lose power. The worst is in second it will buck/skip getting it up to speed. It's not the transmission it was rebuilt the time I put the 4.0 in. I need any ideas help I can get thanks - cody
