Somewhere in my build thread there are a few pics of different seats. Ranger vs f150. I dont have easy access to the pics or i would post them.
And its been so long i dont remember the differences...

The ones on my d35 are same as the ones on my d28 so 83 to 97 ranger explorer at least you can still get the isolator via lmc

Awesome. Ordered 2 factory perches last night. They should get here early next week. Was really hoping to have my truck on the road this weekend but I guess not.

It's his. We are about $6k total into this truck and he put in $4500 of it. I put in $2k. We pretty much always work on it together so manpower is about equal. it's his truck... I am just insanely jealous of it. :censored:

So, working on another task on it, I busted a door window. That meant trip to the wrecking yard. Found a 91 2wd with super low miles and stole a ton of parts including:

We got it all put back together and it sits pretty awesome! So far it is slightly higher in the front than the back I am measuring from the top of the body line, not the wheel well. I'll get pictures later today.

Last tie off question: right now the front passenger side is about 3/8" lower than the front driver side. Is that normal? If I have to throw a couple washers in there to even it out I will but I did not notice any markings for a left or right coil so I assume they are the same. Maybe I am just being paranoid since it has only been on it's own weight for about 36 hours... I guess I will measuare again after a week.

Spacers are getting returned. More pics later tonight.

I would drive it a few hundred miles to get the springs settled in before making any decisions about washers under them.
These guys know what they're talking about. Since I don't know sh*t they are on my "trusted advisors" list and helped me a lot when I did my front end work earlier this year.
Make sure the springs are fully set and positioned correctly at the top. Get everything torqued down and put some miles on it. Then torque it again.

Now then, take the measurement again and let us know if that awful, disgusting 3/8 of an inch difference.is still there.

Of course, you do know that just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that everyone isn't out to get you.

Another thing that will come up if you do decide to "throw a couple of washers in there." What you put under the spring seat won't be what turns up at the body height. A one inch washer lift gives you somewhere between 1-1/2 to 2-inches of lift. There are posts about it in the Tech Section.

Copy that. Will do. We are going to do some light offroading this weekend anyway so that should give it some good flexing.

I am 100% sure the passenger side is because we struggled with it a tiny bit and I looked at both upper and lower. I am 50% sure driver side is. WIll check when he gets home from work.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I'm not paranoid! I just don't trust aftermarket parts anymore. Seems as though 1/2 of all new parts are trash right out of the box. I am also a bit of a hack so I don't trust my work, either.

That makes perfect sense. Honestly, if it only sits 3/8" inch different, and it does not bug my son, it won't bug me. Well, actually it will bug me but I won't sign up to fix it.

Adjustable bushings? Did you ballpark the alignment?
I ballparked mine, but can't test it yet cuz it's freakin' Michigan.

It looks like it is "sitting pretty," as they say. If anything, you might have a little positive camber (listen to me -- I've done it one time and now I'm an expert o_O).

Check that alignment The bearings on D28 don't like misalignment and 31inch tires
