I would get Warn, hands down

The 1998-2000 Ranger Mile Markers or Rugged Ridge hubs are made by AVM in Brazil

Other years Mile Markers use parts from Taiwan but assembled in Washington(state)
Not sure on Rugged Ridge

Warn hubs are made in Oregon, and still have a limited lifetime warranty
Warranty is limited in that it is non-transferable, as long as you have original receipt they will replace broken parts

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I've broken 2 Milemarker hubs. They were used units I got from the junk yard to replace my auto hubs. I'm now running on used Warn hubs from the junk yard with a spare set ready just in case...

Replacing a broken Milemarker hub "in the field".

This.

That said, I’m running a mix of factory and Warn on my junk. I seem to break far more axle shafts than hubs though. And by break, I’m not talking taking out a U-joint, I’m talking straight up snap the shaft off. Both D-28 and D-35…

I'm living on borrowed time with regard to axle shafts. Need to get my spare set built up with u-joints and retaining ring mod, etc.

I want a set of chromoly for the D-35. I did the U-joints and retaining clip mod with stainless rings and snapped the shaft the second attempt at the first hill climb I tried at the 20th anniversary ride. BANG. Well, that was fun for 5 seconds…

That hill fought back. I remember watching you and some people from outside our group climbing that thing.

I was so mad, I wasn’t even sure what the answer was. For as easily as that snapped, I felt like I needed to upgrade the front axle, but I’d have to go to a D-60 to get something stronger or run a straight D-44 with chromoly. There was rumbles that chromoly shafts were coming for the D-35. I didn’t want to run full width axles in that truck and still don’t. My goal was to have something street legal that was trail capable. I want to build a pure off-road rig at some point, but I wanted to be able to drive the choptop to trails because not everywhere I used to go had a place to put a truck and trailer and a couple of the places had a place for a truck and trailer but you had to go about a mile on roads to get to the trail head. Engine blew up not long after that ride (again) and it’s been sitting to think about what it did to me, lol.
