having a weird issue where when i push the brake pedal the brake light comes on for a second but then goes back off. this happens every time i move the pedal until about halfway down it comes on solid. also only happens when the truck is running. when its off the lights come on solid like they should

kind of like how new cars flash the lights when you push the pedal and then they go solid? maybe a ground issue back at the light assemblies?

Just took a look and it looks like the play in the pedal is the cause. The brake light switch gets engaged initially then the booster takes up the slack and it gets disengaged
