Do you guys trust each other???

I met a random dude on Texasguntalk and he was hurting for .38 specials because he got a new-to-him k-frame. I had to drive to Houston today and randomly bought him a 50 round box of .38's for $23 bucks and took it to him at his work. Can't we do something similar for us? I'm crying over 9mm's. I go to stores every day and find .308's, 30.06, 30-30's, .243's, .40's etc. Post what you need and maybe some trusting person can help you out. (don't ask me about .45 ACP's:annoyed:)

I hit local places on truck delivery days. Sometimes they get 3 pallets in sometimes only 1/2 a skid. I am willing to look but shipping might kill it for you unless its bulk packs.

shipping might kill me worse than not having it. Wildbill is shipping me some and I have no earthly idea what it might cost me, but I don't care.

Oh - how are those new Colorado laws? Crap. You guys are getting as commie as CA.

The new laws go into effect July 1st. Recent gay rights and pot laws, brought out the liberal votes, not to mention all the Californians migrating this way. Now that that is all over with, maybe we can vote them out of office. All the laws passed on a party line vote, and it is common knowledge that Bloomberg started a business here lobbying for gov officials for votes (so much for representation). The new laws are complete b.s. .............grandfathering current mags but barring any sale or transfer EVEN TO ONE'S HEIRS. Impossible to enforce, and does nothing to increase public safety. Hickenlooper claims to be pro business and we are in a recession but even the tens of millions of dollars in tax revenue brought in by Magpul, along with hundreds of jobs, and benefit to the local composites/polymer industry can't compete with the current ignorance of society.

Sent from behind the iron curtain.

Hey 4.0 - I forgot about the other rounds you reload (.270?) If you want any .243 or 30-30 brass I'll send it to you as I go through it. I don't shoot enough to justify the equipment.

all the Californians migrating this way .
That's the same comment I heard from locals in the Ft Collins area that I knew when the company wanted to move me out there in '95'. Brought their life style values and drove up the realestate market crazy.
Last time I checked the best place, they had very little but did have close to 8000 rounds of 45 ACP, why I don't know.
Illegal magazines - hell I just got another six 20 round mags for my two Mini's, a 14 and 30.

My credo
WHY DO I KEEP BUYING DODGES?!?!?
I'm just watching all this, and feeling a little better about getting into old Soviet firearms... 7.62x25, 9x18MAK, and 5.45x39 are some of the easiest to find out here. .223 has all but dried up, 9mm is almost impossible, and 7.62x39 is even getting spotty. Fleet Farm always has spam cans of 7.62x54 and 5.45x39, and sometimes the 7.62x39. Otherwise the local shop has a good amount of Bulgarian Tokarev ammo- some people I talk to online can't believe I'm finding Soviet calibres easier than standard, btu once in a while Walmart gets in 9mm or .45.

It's been difficult around here, but not impossible. By getting to know some of the local store's delivery schedules and persistence, I've managed to collect about 1k rounds for almost every caliber I need, minus the 300wm and .25acp. Before the first of the year, I had maybe 50 .45s, 25 9mm, and 20 300wm. Now I'm up to this:

There's a couple threads on ar15.com where people are posting deals, or anything in stock for that matter, as they show up online. I've used these to score magazines that are tough to find and expensive locally.

Nice.^
I refuse to touch my "SHTF" cache for plinking/range time.
Luckily I've been finding all that I need at fair prices, but I doubt ammo supplies will fill back up to pre-panic levels untill the fall.
