Body to frame adjustment

Hello. I have -90 B2 and noticed that body is not centered to frame. It is almost inch to passenger side when comparing to rear wheel and wheel arch. Is it possible to loosen body mounts and push body half inch to left? Front end is good, rear is off.

Not that much. Good chance that something is misaligned though. Get a straight edge and tape measure and start measuring stuff. I would bet the body is on straight and the axle shifted. Could be that the BII was hit in the rear and one side is crushed in 1".

I dunno about that. Half an inch sounds well within reason to me for body mounts to be adjusted. The holes are far from perfect to start, they don't just drop on perfect, and they do wear over time making them align even less.

So looking at the body mounts. Is there really that much play in the frame section for the mount to play around that much?

There is wiggle room even when new, and you are assuming new. Old bushings can move ALOT.

When I did new poly bushings on my 67 c10 it took work and measurements to line it up, it didn't just fall in place perfectly. The bed on my 09 was off a half inch from the factory. These are not precision parts, they require adjusting.

Truck has 82k miles and is in very good condition, body is rust free. Even body mounts look good, had to replace front ones though. Exact measurement is 20mm to right so it needs to be adjusted 10mm to left, less than half Inch. Leaf springs are good with new poly bushings. They are centered by spring stud to axle, so cannot be misaligned. I noticed this because, I want to install 10mm wheel spacers, where to get these?

Only one thing to do... loosen them up and see if you can get it where you want it.

I should also add to the above...

Even though the mounts are good... the bushings and hardware are north of 30 years old.

Inspect everything good and mind your torque specs. I mean... they do keep the body on the frame.

When I wrecked, my body was far enough off that it damaged the driver fender on the bumper and bounced all the way back into the tire. Soo yeah. It could definitely be off by that much.

When I hit someone's trailer hitch, the whole cab moved forward and to one side, enough where one or more of those long mounting bolts started touching the cab body, causing a pretty harsh ride - until I loosened the bolts, and saw one in the back just 'jerk' about a half an inch to the center. That solved the harsh ride. My truck is also completely rust free (Cali desert life) and original bushings are in very good shape. So, yes, the cab can move a bit on the frame.
I actually just ordered a sheet of 1 inch thick PFTE plastic from which I will make spacers to lift the cab by an inch. I want to lift it just that bit, and (most if not all) the mounting bolts seem to have that much extra/spare thread on them.
