I assume what I hear is your hard earned sheet metal budget leaving your bank account. Looked to me he maybe had a couple pieces you need.
Actually not much.

Wiper switch would be nice but I finally found a nice looking one that works great. Fair price though.

Hard pressed to give up my nice looking "premium sound" dash bezel even for a NOS plain one.

I have a nice grille already.

But that NOS antenna... but also $120 and how might it be different?

I've always enjoyed these little fixes. A couple of led's to fix the lights. Using a factory fog light switch and relay to power my roll bar lights, which is all powered by the factory Explorer rear defrost circuit. Sure beats running my own wiring, switches and relays, and it keeps the install clean. I almost have the dash back together. I need a windshield and I need to polish the paint.

Starting to look like a truck again.

Next steps are windshield, paint polish, assemble last bits, stickers, rollbar

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Looks great! Don't forget the red top coat!

I hate red paint!

Closer and closer.

Swapped out the 15x10 and 33x12.50's for some 16x8 with 4.5" backspacing and 285/75-16's. Looks much better in my opinion. More accurate for the year; skinnier tires were the rage in the 80's

You WILL paint it red and LIKE it!

We’ve had four red vehicles in the household. Two of them Rangers. I’m sick to death of red. I tolerated it before and that was what the cards were that I was dealt at the time. Now I pretty much hate it. Notice my 2019 was definitely NOT RED

I vote a nice darker green. Green isn’t so common anymore for some reason.

It would really pop with your red stripe kit!

Beautiful as always, new tires look a lot better than what you had. I haven't had them very long but I really like my grabbers so far. Rest of it is gorgeous too :icon_thumby:

Really nice work...

I wish I had the patience for the body work... I'm more of a rough carpenter.

Looking awesome! Red on white can look good. :) Can't wait to see that NOS stripe kit on it.

Thank you for the kind words fellas. I can't wait to see the stripes either. Years in the making this is.

Initial polishing is looking good
