My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
With a big enough lift kit, nobody will see the roof unless you roll it in it's side. And when that happens, everybody is so distracted by what you did that they won't notice the paint job.

Yeah that's a good point and my truck is pretty tall. I can't leave it though... It'll sand and polish it a little bit.

This Ranger is gonna be too shiny to take off roading

Completely random question, but how are you liking those Falken tires? They appear to be the Rubitrek A/T?

Correct, the box is 28 years old!

The Rubitreks have been great, honestly. Quiet on the highway and excellent in the rain and snow.

Sprayed the bed and it came out looking great

This is what was in the box. NOS power distribution and dash harnesses. The old harnesses had some hackery, both by me and whoever owned the explorer before me. This is nice because I've been able to use the factory circuits for the power windows and power seats to power my electric steering, fan and roll bar lights. No more silly switches, relays and random black/red wires everywhere

Look at that! No grease. No oil. No dirt or mud. No broken clips. No cracked insulation. No illegible labels.

It's, it's, it's a MIRACLE!!!!

Bingo! All these old trucks have so many broken clips and plugs, along with oil everywhere, that it makes doing any kind of wiring a real pain.

EBay and rearcounter.com is where I find most of it.

And there's actually quite a few of these on Ebay at the moment. This seller seems to be going through a whole warehouse of parts:
