I finally found a good wax for black paint. Meguiar’s Black wax is an excellent product. Wax the entire vehicle and then wipe/buff off. Looks like it came off the showroom floor.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Come on down to SC. I’ve got one for you to practice on.

Thanks. I keep shopping for a new one, but not sure if I’m ready yet. This is my 9th Ranger since I was 18. I would take my 1991 over all of them.

The wax is easy to use. Did the entire truck in 45 minutes and that was doing the door jambs too.

I don’t want to sell you the truck. Just want you to wax it for me. I’m lazy about that kind of stuff.

Lead follow or get out of my way
Seems like the last time I waxed my truck it was almost a full day project.

Maybe you work fast or I work real slow.

Is this a spray on thing? Paste wax?

Well, let me see here. I've had my Lightning for ten years, never waxed it once. It still shines beautifully in the light. But it's Oxford White and very forgiving. My black 2008 Suzuki B-King has never been waxed once and it looks beautiful in the sunlight. Doesn't have any of those irritating swirl marks either. My 2007 Mustang, never been waxed. Still a thing of beauty. But those vehicles are garage kept and not daily driven. My 22 year old Ranger is beyond the help of anything, it's truly clapped out. I drive it hard and put it away wet. Still runs great though!
