I managed to get 60k out of my last set of KO2s. They still had a little left in them when I ended up getting some cooper STT pros, both nice sets of tires.
Pretty sure Iā€™m going to get a set of 33ā€ KM3s for the Ranger here pretty quick.

My credo
If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Ran a set of BF Goodrich AT's on my 90 F150 and loved them for on road and on the lawn but that was the last set I had from them. Currently in a fight with myself about which to get for the ranger. Choices are the BFG T/A or Cooper Cobra GT because I'm tired of sliding around on the Hankooks on there now. Also going 20mm wider to help with traction issues.

In all fairness that tire looks to have an awful lot of wear on it....šŸ˜‰ Iā€™ve got 76k on K02sā€™ no issue....other than they are kinda noisy now
That tire has 26k on it. The back 2, 36k plus.

Those are oilfield miles.

I run Cooper Cobra tires on my 69 Fairlane Cobra and really like them. I would not buy Cooper off-road tires after my experience with Pro Comp MT tires which I understand are made by Cooper.

I also run BFG Comp T/A tires on my 70 2800CS BMW. They are great on that car but BFG does not make 14" tires any more. So I need to look for another brand when those wear out. I want to continue using the factory alloy wheels.

Cooper makes Mickey Thompson, Dick Cepek, Mastercraft, and Roadmaster. Pro comp is owned by polaris...

Also, keep in mind where an object is made does not reflect the quality of that object. I could own a company called 'Slippery Pete's discount tire and dental school'. I then design a tire made from old flip flops and take my design to Goodyear and say "make me a million of these flip flop tires". It's not Goodyear's fault those tires suck...

They could very well be manafactured in a cooper factory but they are not a cooper brand. But again, who physically makes them doesn't mean much. The parent company is responsible for the design.

Thats really weird, if you go to coopers corporate site they list all their sub brands and pro-comp is not listed.

I was told by the 4WP store manager that 4WP is owned by Polaris. I believe he even told me that Polaris owned Pro Comp also. He listed off several companies under the Polaris umbrella...

the polaris sale i know well.. several of my buds were heavy at the cleveland opps and 4wd hardware...one got out altogether and went to moab....then the other later.

nothing to do with cooper. i am a total cooper nutswinger so there is bias there for sure. and i do like the bfg all terrain...at first. awesome in snow for a at.... but alas.. they fawked me every time. since driving 70k miles or more in a year was a given many years ....burnin through tires is just par for the course.

i roll on 35 or 37's......tow on 33's and wheel on 35 to 44's....so...i have confidence in my 3 brain cell opine.

Lord God is my guardian
Used 31" bfg ko's for well over 15 years, and those tires saw sand, snow, dirt, mud, street, etc. Great tires, and wanted to continue...yet when I saw a whole mixed variety of reviews with ko2..did not like the reviews and the looks. Went with general grabber at2 tires. Went with those as they are the exact same as the original ko' s. Put those thru alot. The at2 tires impressed me, now I have the general grabber atx...great tires. I will continue to use general tires.
