So I'm at the start point of my 86 ranger xl shortbed v8 build and I just called a sand blasting place 2bills to sandblast and another 3 for any kind of paint/primer they say I know it sounds cheap but I have seen their work and it's good work they do alot of industrial so maybe why prices are good. but what is a good paint an epoxy style on a frame or your traditional frame paint. an auto body place priced me 800 just for paint so what color is a common color and finish matte or semi or satin my build shows alot of frame so it has to be durable paint the truck will have 38s and be a road queen haha any knowledge will be accepted thanks

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
Have you heard of POR15? If not, check it out, its gnarly stuff...The old schoolers swore by it for frame paint
Also theres this cool new stuff called Steel-it...spendy though (about $40 a gallon)

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Show trucks get powder coat.

My vote goes to 2-part epoxy applied by sandblast company. They will have it done quickest between sandblast and paint, so less chance of moisture under the coating.
