Just drove a 200 km trip in the truck and didn't burn a quarter tank yet never filled it to get the exact mileage but it definately is showing it likes the highway a lot more then the city I also have found that since I have 31's on the truck and I'm not positive on the gear ratio at this time in the rear end but I have to drive it in fourth to get it in its happy torque curve at 100km/h so if I want to drive it in 5th I have to be doing 130kmish to get into the torque curve again so I'll have to do some calculating and see what tire size I wanna go with and see how low I gotta figure out if the change back to factory will be worth it in the long run or keep the 31's and drive it in fourth

I also plan on running 31's.

I swapped my rear gears from 3.27 to 3.73's

I have no clue how it will run with reusing the Benz trans

Will have to look at the Mercedes set up but if anything can always run it just in drive instead of over drive should be fine

Since my last comment I've done the math and I need 235/75/15 I have an appointment for Tuesday to get them put on I want to get pictures for you guys of under neath the truck but it got warm enough to make slush and mud and then more snow in promise once it's nice out ill wash it and take a bunch of pictures for on here along with a mpg with the new tires I've pulled 32 out of it once on the nicer day trip so I'm already blown away and it should get better with the tires to get it at the magic number of 2400 rpm for max torque at highway speed so wait and see

So put the 28.9 tires on it's got a lot more pull thru the first gears haven't hit the highway yet but in town it's a lot better. I know the tires are for the good of the truck but I don't like the look the 31s make it look a lot beefier need to do something to make the truck look better

Yes it is I just matched the rpm of the max torque of the stock turbo Diesel engine 2400rpm and I did the math to get the diameter of the tire to work out with my fm145 transmission so at 110km/h I'm at 2395 rpm and ya better fuel economy then the 3000rpm like the car

Could you take a picture of the down-pipe where it attaches to the bracket behind the turbo?

It bolts to the four Bolts on the back of the turbo on a flange I machined up and then I have a rubber mounted hanger holding it from the side of the frame it's pouring rain right now
