Have a 92 ranger xlt 2wd and swapped with a 99 it bolted right up but u need wiring harness from 99 to use taillights because it's 3 bulb not two and you will need longer fuel tank filler.hose

There is a way to work around that...I had the same problem in reverse when swapping a 92 box onto a 96 frame...someone posted a fix that involved modifying the wiring harness.

In my case I wanted to use the 92 lenses and was about to modify the actual lenses to take a third light...but ended up selling that truck before I got to mess with it...

It's quite often helpful if we can post pictures and steps of ways to work around these problems...I know how much of a pain in extra planning that actually can be though so someone seeing this thread will find only what you did and not how you did it...but good luck on it if you haven't finished yet.
