Bearing clearances

Got a 4.0 pushrod engine I'm rebuilding. Just curious if .002" clearance on the rods is a good reading? I'm using plastigauge so can only get a decently accurate reading but all 6 were consistently .002" according to the plastigauge. Crank spins smooth fully assembled, rods have side to side play but no up and dow. Crankshaft endplay is .002"

It could have been what time you posted that, and even that depending on the day. If it was 9 or 10 it could easily flitter on by before anybody comes along that could talk sense with you about it.
Best to try bumping this again about 6 or 7, depending on your time zone

I expect a lot of people (myself included) are looking mostly at the "latest posts" column and get tied up with it most of the time. Once it leaves that slot it could be lost in oblivion and nobody ever sees it

Those readings are acceptable. Desired is .0003-.0024, so it's on the loose side, but it is acceptable. I might go a half size up on those bearings.

Crank end play spec is .002-.01250, so that's in spec, and at the lower end to boot.

Machinist said they were 0.010" undersized, are you saying I should install .015" undersize instead? I didn't even know they sold half sizes
