You mean the connector that connects to the battery, right? I don't really think it matters what you buy, it should all work the same. You can get them anywhere, WalMart, Fred Meyer, Schucks, etc.

what's the difference between accepting 4g wire and just a ring terminal?

does it really matter? what comes on a standard amp kit? a ring terminal i assume?

why do they sell new battery terminals like that?

i just used a 1.99 cheapo battery terminal from a gas station and i was able to fit a run of bare 0ga and both the factory wires into it. I had the kicker terminals that matched the rest of my wiring kit but i didnt take them off my last car and it wasnt worth buying new ones. when i finally get around to doing the big 3 ill have to get some better ones if i want to be able to fit another strand of 0ga in there.

these are the terminals that are on my truck right now. i took off the nut that tightens the terminal to the battery terminal, then slid the ring terminal on and put the nut back on. works fine. or you can just put it where the batteries power wire goes. shouldnt be a problem. those aftermarket terminals accept up to 1/0awg and offer a cleaner look. some of them can accept multiple runs of power wire in different sizes.

That's what I went with. I believe it has 2 4ga and 1 (or 2?) 8ga outputs. The 2x4ga for my amp and starter, the 8ga for my alt. IMO, best way to go for clean and less crimps = good thing IMO.
