What's the worst that could happen?
This whole thing started with a simple 1-1/2 inch washer lift with new springs and shocks. That threw the alignment off. That led me to this PIA project. So I followed the advice of one well-known member and "You rip all that shit apart and dope it up."

I didn't notice this until now, but there is one item in this image that is totally out of place....

I'll have more pics and questions later today that I hope you can help me with. Thanks in advance.

Nope.
I should clarify to just the items on the table...

Sorry @Shran there is no prize.

It does look lonely... he needs several more IMHO.

He's got a profane lantern and a heater sitting there...those should make their way into the scrap bin. We all know white gas is the superior fuel.

I can almost feel its loneliness from here. I think a row of at least a dozen would make that area look much more inviting.

I have more in the other side of the barn with the rest of the camping gear.

Got to the crux on the problem here: The alignment adjuster.
20220118_133112.jpg

Haven't tried removing it yet nor have I moved it I want to mark its position first. It's clearly 2-1/2.° This is the left side so the meat of the adjuster is at the 2 o'clock position approximately. What that means is IDHAFC. Once this has been cleaned up and/or replaced, I can start throwing it back together. Ball joints are coming in Thursday. I'm sure I'll need to replace other things too. I'll post some pics tomorrow to get your opinions.

Thanks for playing the find it game. That's my SIG P238 Desert model.

Not sure you have a ball joint press... or access to one. But it sure makes the replacement far easier.

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
I Use a 12pt wrench...or a pipe wrench

Pound the chisel in the pinch crack a little

It will turn and work out

Or just smash it with a hammer.

Then wire wheel it all up with a brush wheel in the drill

And cover everything in goo on reassembly
