95 ranger still stalls out...but it backfires from the intake now... Hole in my exaust? is that the peoblem? new gas, clean tank, 2 bottles of HEET! when I put it in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, reverse, it doesn't matter I have to rev my engine just to keep it goin because it takes its time getting going as it shakes the whole engine and is popping and stalling out! Please use words and not abbreviations. I'm not a Motor Head, Just plain Joe that needs advice, help, 2 cents, anything that will contribute to this pile of srap... Please and Thank you.

There is alot of stuff in the tech library http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/4cylinders.html do your research it sounds like a timing issue to me could be the belt or dizzy. I`m sure someone here can help you out do you have a manual try your local bone yards they usually have a pile of them somewhere for cheap. It kinna sounds like you skipped a tooth on the belt tho. Turn the crank with a socket with your finger in the #1 plug hole until you feel compression and line the timing mark up on top dead center and see if the distributor rotor is pointing toward the #1 plug wire on the cap. always turn it clockwise or the way the engine runs. Just hang out someone will chime in eventually that knows 4 bangers.
