Will the back glass from a 97 Ranger fit in a 94 Ranger? Tried googling with absolutely no help

I’m struggling with some crossover stuff too in the 90s.

93-94 are supposed to be the same, but something changed 95-97, not sure what and which..

My First suggestion would be to look up the part numbers on each and see if they match.

My 2nd suggestion would be to get a large sheet of paper (Christmas wrap?), hold it in place with a little masking tape, and trace the outside of the window gasket, and then see if it matches the other. More accurate than just measurements I think.

I just got a really beat up 93, trying to find a chrome grill. A couple of guys helped me out and showed me advertising materials showing the chrome grill in a 94, but I can’t find any reference to it anywhere as a part, only the gray/argent. I’m thinking of grabbing a cheap grill out of a 95 - 98 from the pull a part just to see if it’ll fit in. I’ve seen a couple of chrome grills for these 95-98s around.

hope it helps!

All extended cabs have bolt in rear windows, regular or slider type
All 1998 and up regular cabs have the same bolt in rear windows
So these are all interchangeable
Ford did add 2 extra bolts on the top side of glass mount rail at some point but its VERY EASY to drill 2 holes

1997 and earlier regular cabs have glued in rear windows, so only interchangeable with 1997 and earlier regular cabs

Go too old and the standard cabs have a back window with a rubber gaskat, not glued.

Fair enough, gasket seal on 1997 and older regular cab Rangers which won't work in any extended cab or 1998 and up regular cab

Hey, RonD, You seem to know this vintage. Do you have an answer for my question if they ever made a blank to go where the rearview mirrors are? I want to mount door mounted mirrors, and I was wondering if there was a blank to fill the hole for the existing mirrors

And glass is not made from only sand. Both are a form of silica oxide. Glass is a blend of silica oxide, limestone, and sodium carbonate, so glass is silica oxide that has been morphed. The sodium carbonate is so you don’t get an upset stomach after you make the glass.

But, to RonD’s point, glass is a fluid, not a solid....

A coherent reasoned response, supported by scientific facts...................

Shame on you, don't you know science is corrupt, has been for the last 4 years, and may be for the next 4 years if Trump gets re-elected :)
