As the title says, 89 BII with a swapped in D35. The sway bar from the D28 does not line up with the new axle (expected that as the D35 is wider). I am guessing I need to track down a D35 sway bar. Any other options out there? Also, and more importantly, how long should my links be? I imagine after having lifted it 3 inches (Duff stage 1) I would need longer links?

If it were me I would just drive around for a while without a sway bar, I had one shortly after I swapped in my D35 with the ~6" lift thinking I might want it, ended up scrapping the bar... I don't mind the body roll, it handles just fine, don't know what the shorter wheelbase of the BII will do but might be fine...

My credo
Deengineer until it is how Blue Oval should have sold it!!
ecgreen,

I did not encounter this issue when I installed a D35 on my 87BII. It is using an anti sway bar/brackets/links from an 89 STX Hi rider Ranger with the old style Duff 2x shock hoops. I think I needed to use a longer "link to axle" bolt and the sway bar links are on the inside on the brackets because of the second shock mount.

In regards to needing longer links, I did not need longer links with 4" suspension lift, I just rotated the bar down to reach.

This may warrant some pics.

Installed the sway bar upside down. Flipped it and the link fit fine. Dirp...dirp...doh!
