Do i need to replace the axle tubing? I attached pictures of the damage to the tubing. The truck is a 2004 4.0 4x4 auto with 8.8 4.10 gears. Also what axle shaft do i need? 28 splines or 32?

Looks trashed to me. I'd be getting a whole axle assembly from somewhere.

Must have had a 2.9 in it... All that axle snapping torque you know.
A 2.9 woulda twisted the tube in half, broke the springs on the torque side, twisted the driveshaft and tweaked the frame.

Dont be jealous your duratech cant even muster the torque to kick gravel.
