Hey, guys!
Ignore my last post about the flywheel diameter. I got the correct one from Autozone.
Anyways, I got my 4R44E to M5OD swap done. Everything went in like butter. I have a question about the computer, though.
I left the automatic PCM in the truck, and fooled it into thinking that it was in park so that it would start. It seems to be driving well, but it's offroad-only now, so I've just driven it around my back yard so far.
The MIL light is on, with codes for torque converter circuit malfunction, and circuit malfunctions for shift solenoids 1, 2, and 3. Will these codes cause the computer to run in open-loop, or "limp mode?"
I know that power and efficiency will be suffereing if so, but I'm hoping I can get away with running the auto PCM if I can. I will switch to the manual PCM if I need to.
Thanks!
