Great get together. I’m sure all you guys love that bronco, it was incredible.

I think my favorite was the Cinderella carriage. It’s brand new, three months old, street legal. All electric, the guy built it for weddings and special occasions, kids birthdays, and such. I’m sure he’s going to be a wealthy man. Zero in on the steering column, it’s all modern technology. It’s what I would’ve done with the 87 if I had more sophisticated drugs. It’s what @bobbywalter would build if he got in touch with his feminine side.

I think there were 60 or 75 cars there, a very broad range from a custom VW bug to the Ford GT 40, some exotics, some classics. 99% in terrific condition (I’m a one percentat heart). That 1930 Ford was right next to me, great folks with an 18 month old baby who only knew how to smile.

I didn’t think to get a picture, but on the lower level of the parking lot there were bands playing, all kinds of tents and food trucks. And the weather was perfect.

Even the $17 chicken fingers and fries were great.

The official show is 9 AM till noon, but you usually have to get there by eight to get a decent spot. I’ll be six or seven rows to the right of the food court as you face it. I’m planning to get there 730 or eight.

Special also, for Halloween, the Road Ranger will be carrying “Halloween” Baby instead of Baby!

It’s kind of like putting a Christmas wreath on the grill of your car in December. Well, maybe not exactly.

Also, we will be having a “Name the Halloween Baby” contest to provide a year-round name for Halloween Baby. I have a feeling she’ll be around at different times of the year.

You don’t have to attend to submit a name. Special grand prize! The winner gets haunted for the rest of his/her life! First and second runner-up get nightmares!

Here’s how you screw up a Town Car

Oops, can’t find the file. It was a 90s town car on all those low rider fancy hydraulics that would tilted and conceivable direction.

No trucks within the striking distance of my feeble legs today.

Like usual, I had a half dozen Ranger folks check out the Road Ranger. I always tell them about therangerstation.com and invite them to join.

This Saturday afternoon is the Choate Construction car cruise in with proceeds going to leukemia (cars for a cure). My connection is Choate occasionally built for me, and I occasionally worked on their projects. Several of the owners and top level managers have fabulous cars.

If you just want to see the eye candy, probably 150 or 200 top end cars and trucks, it’s free, and if you want to show something that’s free too. All for fun and charity, no prizes or trophies if I remember correctly. I can tell you the people attending are fabulous, the cars and trucks are fabulous, and the cause is fabulous.

With all those good intentions in mind, let me say you can buy food tickets and drink tickets for the event. They always have incredible barbecue and other things, as well as beer and wine and soft drinks. Party In moderation as always.

The show is in North Atlanta, a couple exits north of 285 just off 400. I haven’t been in a few years, these guys know me from my former high-end cars, but I’m bringing the Road Ranger. I’m sure it will be culture shock.

Choate Cars for a cause tomorrow. Check in to show at 1:30 PM, and the show goes from 3 to 6. This is a pretty high-end car and truck show. It usually brings some great iron.

I think I miss spoke earlier, there is a little registration fee to show a car, and then there are tickets to enter and get food and drinks. Great people, and it’s all for a leukemia cure for children. I highly recommend it.

Being an afternoon show this is one I might could have made, but they picked a bad weekend to have it. I'm working tomorrow and won't get off until 1, that's not their fault, but I'm not making a mad dash to North ATL. More significant though is that this is opening weekend for regular firearm hunting season in GA. If I weren't working I'd be sitting in the woods instead of driving to Atlanta. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people in the area who think the same, but would otherwise be interested in going.
