Are these FX4 decals original?

Just picked this truck up last week and in the process of doing some touch-ups. The FX4 decals on the side were faded and peeling, so I was planning on replacing them. I also noticed they are slightly crooked which led me to believe they aren't original. A Google image search didn't really give me a concrete answer.

Anyone know? It's a 04' 4.0 4x4

Doesn't the VIN have info on that?
If not you can look at the FX4 equipment packages for other clues.

I don't believe anything in the VIN just jumps up and says FX4. However... a VIN driven Marti Report (?) at the dealer or someone connected in the Ford system can pull As Built data. That will tell you everything.

I saw @SOAD4.0 introduction... and a few more pics. I don't believe it has the right interior... or the chrome front tow hooks to be an FX4. But you never know.

The "F" in the FX4 sticker looks like the "F" on the 2015-ish F-150's
Maybe it's a F-150 FX4 sticker.

the seats look just like the seats in my 04 edge. black and grey split bench that feels like sitting on a board but actually ends up being comfortable after many long highway miles

I have never seen Ranger FX4 decals that had a yellow FX. I am pretty sure they should be red, but there could be an exception. The style is not right either. The off-road should be all across the bottom with no offset F. I am very sure those are after market decals.

Pretty sure the "yellow" is from the camera flash.
about 30 seconds on the interweb and I found these F-150 "FX4" decals.

I went through the FX4 article and of course 2004 is the year that has the least amount of info. But according to the article:

"In addition to the standard features on every Ranger, listed below are a few key features included on the FX4 Off-Road in addition to or in place of those on the XLT."

• 4.0L V6 engine with 5-speed manual transmission
• 16” 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels
• P245/75Rx16 all-terrain OWL tires
• 2 Steel skid plates and 2 tow hooks

Best guess is the wheels and tires were swapped out and the skid plates removed for the brush guard? Also the 03 specified black tow hooks for the off road and chrome for the Level II, so it could be the same for 04. The interior looks the same and the example, my photo just makes it look more washed out.

In any case, I already ordered proper replacement decals so hopefully I didn't just make myself a poser haha!
