UPDATE: rerouted CTS sensor wire away from distributor. Problem solved. I racked my brain all week. Moved one wire, took 2 minutes. Hood on, air cleaner on and she RIPS! Now to turn learning back on and let it do its thing for a minute. Gotta get ac and my tach going to. Very happy now!

Leaning out on the top end. Think a bigger fuel pump. Currently walbro 255, only getting 40 psi, need 58. Also can anyone help to figure out tha ac? Pretty sure it was powered through the factory ecu which is gone now. Do I just need to supply power to the switch on pass side of motor compartment? Or the compressor? Or both?

Grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
man, only 40 out of the walbro 255? thats odd since so many people use that in high power builds that need more fuel.

no idea on ac though

I have no idea of your fuel system. The older ford EFI is 40psi. The newer is (I think) 60psi. What type return system are you using? Is it adjustable?

8 an feed. 6 an return. Regulator is in the sniper. Look up specs on walbro 255, 43 psi @13.5 amps. I have a fuel pump on the way. They have a high pressure model, but from my research it still won't hit 60 psi. Walbro site has some conflicting information. Says reg 255 is capable of 80 psi in the description, but click over specs and it lists the 43 psi. Regardless pump on te way from holley, I NEED AC THO, it's been in the 90s with high humidity for 3 weeks

so capped the return, no change in pressure. dropped the tank, found the rubber line attached to fuel pump was shot! replaced, re-install tank, 60 psi. truck ran like crap! re-ran the wizard for sniper, basically starts the self learning process over. starts, runs, idles much better. still no update on a/c. i did go "borrow" my brothers brand new power probe III master kit, that he has had for like 6 years and never used. i mean never, i unpack-aged the thing. didn't get to drive the truck either. its dinner time, im hungry!

ya @Junglejoe i got the issue fixed, rubber line in tank was bad. i have also sorted the a/c. got a relay to activate a/c clutch, grounded through high pressure switch, triggered by a toggle that is wired to a key-on hot. ice cold and loving it, runs a lil warmer which is expected.

No idea on that new of a truck but a EFI first gen has a WOT relay that cuts the A/C when the PCM/Scotty decides that life support can be sacrificed for additional thrust.

Working thru deleting that as my truck doesn't have a PCM, carb trucks (2.8 trucks) did not have the relay.

update on the sniper: the ecu crapped out. holley sent a new unit, a whole new sniper kit, eventually. put it back on friday, it was skipping. performed compression leak down test, i have been questioning valve train issues. to my surprise test went well. put a new set of ngk plugs, #tr55 to be exact. tightened the gap from.050 to 42 - 43 ish replaced a wire that broke during removal and its back on all 8. running strong. need to get a set of new matching wires just for looks, and a larger filter, probably a k&n flow through. also considering a lower thermostat.

New filter, still mismatched wires. The sniper has been good this time, AMAZING throttle response.
