I have searched and searched and searched for a wiring diagram for the electronic 4x4 system on my 95 ranger. I can't find one any where. Does anybody have one ? Or know where I can get one? I am trying to diagnose why my 4 wheel drive does not work and would be much easier if I had a general idea of the wiring diagram. Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks cvar. :yahoo: Just one question. I noticed that this is for an automatic truck and mine is a five speed. Would this be the same diagram?

Yes, same diagram. The only (trivial) difference is that the GEM Neutral-Safety-Switch-Input (pin-22) signal comes from the clutch switch instead of the auto-trans DTR switch. Either way, GEM pin 22 is grounded (eg, A/T in neutral) before the GEM will activate the switch motor.

Well switch was bad, got a new one. The sensor on the transfer case above the shifter motor had a bad wire. In order to fix the wire I had to remove the sensor. Bolt broke. Drilled out broken bolt and replaced with a new bolt. 4 wheel drive worked for about ten seconds then.... The nipple where the sensor bolts on the transfer case broke. Just my luck. Now I have to purchase a transfer case

Well, with a few hose clamps and some silicone I have the speed sensor back in the transfer case where it goes. I now have a speedometer but still no 4 wheel drive. ABS light on. My MIL is blinking 5 times, front and rear speed sensors by what the service info says. Is there other speed sensors or are they talking about the ABS sensors? :icon_confused: I'm getting closer. Maybe soon I can go play in the mud.
