Any of you ever visit these parks?

So, for the trail ride, I reserved a whole week of vacation and have a few spare days earlier in the week. I'm thinking of driving part way on Tuesday. Spend a day at an offroad park on Wednesday, then drive to Badlands on Thursday. I'll probably do a bit of wheeling on my own at Badlands on Friday. Have any of you visited these parks in Kentucky?

1. Wildcat - 2000 acres, $16 per day to ride, $24 per night for tent camping. This is currently my first choice because it's very close to half way between my house and Badlands. Might be able to find cheaper tent camping outside the park.

2. Dirty Turtle - 286 acres. $20 per day to ride, $5 per night tent camping.

I have several friends that ride at wildcat. it's a mud hole most of the time. Has some very technical tracks as well. They are always inviting me but it's just a little too far for a day trip when I can get to windrock an hour less driving. They love it. Most are in sxs but some are in trucks and jeeps. Thanks. I’m thinking that on a Wednesday, it will be less crowded with less alcohol induced madness. If the weather is real rainy just before the trip, maybe I’ll opt for Dirty Turtle and possibly avoid some mud.

I'd be willing to bet there's probably as many drunks on the trails of parks that don't allow alcohol as those that do..

At windrock they search your coolers before you go in. But I'm sure some crafty people get their's in. Me myself, enjoy the thrill of the challenge without the need for alchohol. Now a cold beer after riding all day never hurts once I'm back at camp.

I was at an offroad park (AOAA in Pennsylvania) when the guy parked next to me pulled up on his dirt bike PISSED OFF. He told me that security checked his backpack as he was about to hit the trails and confiscated 18 beers.

I’m not a drinker, and I usually don’t say a word about anyone who does.... But you need 18 beers to have a good time riding your dirt bike for a few hours. At what point are you out on the trails just to get drunk? If you want to get back to your campsite and have those 18 beers, go for it. The worst that can happen is you trip and fall on your way to pass out in the tent.

Ive been to Dirty Turtle with my buddy and his rock bouncer. Its an offroad park so automatically cool but id rather go to Rush. I dont drink so the whole alcohol thing is no big deal. If someone is wheeling/riding in a concerning manner I’ll keep my distance anyway.
