My credo
What's the worst that could happen?
My '94 Splash Stepside bed has some cracking on the front part of passenger side fender thanks to a collision with a deer a few years back. Probably easily fixable by someone with fiberglass skill (I do have a close friend who fits that bill). But I was curious and have been shopping for a replacement bed.

But what should I expect to pay for one? I know that's a tough question, but your educated opinions would be a great help.

I have found a black (my color) 99 that's being parted out, so I am curious at this point.

Thanks a lot.

I recently bought a rust free flareside bed, with a tailgate, no lights or wiring harness. $300.

It did have a couple of cracks in the fiberglass at the bottom where the bedside connected to the frame. Also had a lot of pealing clear coat.

Try car-part.com

And look at prices of any Ranger beds in your area, you should get a range of prices and conditions

Flaresides are fewer, so in good shape can cost a bit more

But in the end the price of the bed(or anything else) is only what the buyer will pay, not what the seller asks for it
If you don't like the price walk away

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
I’ve seen perfect bedsides good for $50 each.
I’ve sold an entire bed in pretty good shape for $600... that was 15 years ago, I’m sure prices have changed since then.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
The fiberglass bedsides are easy to replace. Just watch for them to show up in the junk yard and grab them when you can.
