Nice! What motor does it have, a 302? I love those old school Broncos. My Dad had a 66 when I was younger. It was a climbing machine.

I've owned a few of them and I still like them. I had a 74, and 2 76's. No a/c for those Florida summer days and nights....but then again I never got dressed up to go out in one!!! lol

Nice buy! Them things were built like I wish more of todays SUV's were. Bare bones, after a day out in the field, open both doors and just hose it out. Forget what years but even the six bangers had the 9" gears.

well i just priced everything to Restore it , plus extra for a Just in case moment , and it looks like it will set me back about $13,000 , now I now I could save the time and hassle and go out and buy one for that price , but I would Rather do everything myself , plus that is if I buy it all new , which I dont Plan to

I just talked to a friend about his unrestored '73 Shoebox Bronco

Seems I'm gonna have one too...

the one I'm getting is a 302/C4/Dana20 truck.

Frankly the part I'm most interested in is the Dana20, I'll probably sell off the rest, because it's been sitting (undisturbed) in the weather since the early 90's

Allan , that is the same setup as mine , let me know the condition the tub/doors are in , as long as it had the top on it it may be in better shape than mine (mine has been sitting with no top since 88 , first in a garage , then outside , then in a garage , if it is in better shape and the right price i am always up for a drive to your place

thanks , it's going to be one heck of a project , and when finished will be about 90% original , I only plan to vary from stock with the exhaust and paint

I found out earlier today that it is actually a 73 not a 72 , then as I was backing it off the trailer the brakes decided they no longer wanted to work , rolled halfway out into the yard , thank god it drives and is stuck in 4Lo , was able to ease it over into it's new temporary home , will be posting some more pictures tomorrow
