I haven't seen this one in a search specifically. Is it possible to swap a short (6') bed for a long (7') bed? I'm considering buying a '99-'00 supercab Ranger and the supercabs only came with the short bed. There might be times I'd want a bit more room and wondered if this would work easily--as in a bolt on. Thanks in advance!

I believe you are out of luck. I don't see many long bed rangers but if I remember correctly the extra length is in the front half of the bed and they have a different frame length between the cab and the rear axle. I don't believe they ever made a frame long enough to fit an ex-cab and a long bed. Might be a fun fabrication project though?????

Ford never built a Supercab Longbed, but it can be done, BOMK the only mod would be your driveshaft, you would need a 98up Supercab chassis & a 98up Longbed box & rear frame clip, drill out the 8 rivets per side, swap the frame sections & reconnect usin grade 8 bolts & nuts......

Here's a pic of my 99 Stepside that I've altered the rear suspension on and you can see the 8 rivet points & the grade 8 bolts I used to reattach:

There's a thread on one of the Ranger sites of some guys thinkin of the same Supercab Longbed build..............

i have been seriously thinking about it & even boughts a extended cab shell. Will need to make the frame 14.5 " longer between cab back & front of bed. And by the way any 93-2010 LONGbed will work & the long bed is longer in front & behind the rear tire then the 6ft bed
