Okay. So I've been reading the threads about lowering and have lowered two trucks. But maybe I'm dumb (no its definetly) so heres the question. If I have 3 inch DJM beams (which I do) and 2 inch belltech coils (which I do but are not installed) will I have 5 inchs of drop? Thanks for looking. Feel free to rip on me for the question.

Roughly yes... now there are some variables to factor in.... what engine is in the vehicle versus what engine u have in the vehicle. If have springs rated for a 2" drop on a 4cyl and u install on a truck with a v-6 you'll end up with closer to 3" drop from the springs. Now if these r for the truck u have listed to the left of ur post, and they r 4 cyl springs then expect roughly 3.5" of drop, if they r v-6 springs prolly close to 3"from the springs totaling 6". Now that is assuming when u dropped the chebby engine in (eh, gag ha) you didn't eliminate anything under the hood. The more parts u remove the more weight u remove therefore compinsating for the extra weight of the engine.
ps. sorry my spelling sucks

Noticed the info--helped me a lot-- I cut two coils off my '89 2.9l chassis & got 3" drop a few weeks ago--if I stick a 302c.i. in it, I'll just get a pair of stock coils to keep the 3" drop and get a smoother highway ride too...:icon_hornsup:

No... You might, and its a big might, get an inch out of stock coils with your v-8 swap.

Most coils will net you the amount of drop they claim to be ( i.e. 3in drop coil = 3in drop ) Aftermarket parts are almost always catagorized by truck and not the engine size.

Also with most of the trucks have smaller engines, the v-6 in the Ranger is not a heavy engine, and should not make a big differance.

However worn out springs on a v-6 will make a differance in the way it sits and rides.

So to answer the question asked... Yes you will net a 5in drop with the 3in beams and 2in coils.

I would also recomend lowering the back of the truck too if you have not already. Unless you are going for the "raked" look...

Oh and by the way... this thread is useless with out pics.

are you picking at your face, chewing your tounge, creating a project out of toilet paper, popcicle sticks, and duct tape?
Do you know your going to become rich by striping the coper out of telephone cord wire?...

Did you post this while you were hidng under a bush, stealing the neighbors wifi?....

do you jump, run away and lock yourself in the bathroom when you see your shadow?

Do the speakers on your truck talk to you?

are you convinced the seat belt release button is a "bug" by the FBI?

If you anwser yes to any of those symptons you could be on Meth.

If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
I thought you were on crack?
