Hello everyone, I added a radiator to cool the a4ld box more but now I have air that I hear brothed in the pump, how can I purge this air?

How are the lines oriented on your cooler? If theyre on the bottom that could cause air to get trapped in the system

original radiator the two pipes are connected below but the quer I added they are on the side horizontally


and the air we hear is in the box, probably in the pump

Automatic transmissions don't need to be bled like brake or clutch lines. Air simply can't "get trapped". If the fluid is foamy with air bubbles in it, its overfilled.

additional information, when I remove the radiator hose and run the engine, there is only a small trickle of oil coming out, faulty pump or air bubble which prevents the oil from passing ?

Check the fluid level first. Why was the cooler installed? Was the transmission having issues?

I do 4x4 with trailer to take out my firewood and the gearbox tends to heat up in these cases, that's why I put an additional radiator, the oil level is good, now I wonder if the oil was not heating due to poor circulation

The pump provides the pressure to physically shift gears, if you didn't have proper pressure/flow the transmission wouldn't move.

As Dirtman said air can NOT be "trapped" in a transmission cooler

The Front Pump(only pump) sucks in ATF thru the filter in the Pan
It then sends that ATF thru the Valve body, ATF then goes out to be cooled
ATF flows thru the cooler, or coolers, and then back to the Pan

So unless the Pan fluid runs dry no air can be sucked in, and any air in the coolers would be pushed out on startup of the pump (engine starts)

I know that in theory the air cannot stay in the box, and my mechanic knows it too, however one hears it gurgling when I put the gases so there is something which prevents the air from leaving but what? ??

It is possible that the vent is clogged causing a hissing or bubbling noise. Does the transmission work? Aka... does it move and just makes an annoying gurgling noise, or is it completely inoperable?

Just FYI
On the A4LD(and 4R and 5R), the Lower cooler line on transmission is OUT to cooler(s), the Upper is Return to Pan
This shouldn't matter unless there is a leak that's also sucking in air

I have to let the engine run a bit before I can leave, after it works but it lacks power, I think it skates as soon as it forces

You have a transmission problem, not a cooler problem

you give me an idea RonD , i will search if there is not an air intake at a fitting, although there should be an oil leak but i will look anyway
