Considering a 2006, doesn’t have c.c. , can it easily be added? Dad had a 05 super duty and was able to easily add cruise, wondered if I might have the same luck with a ranger.

Adding cruise is simple.

You can get the kit at Home Depot for like 35 cents. Installation is fairly straightforward.

if it is pre wired for cruise it is reasonably easy to do.

You can add Cruise to any vehicle, maybe factory(but have to change steering wheel) and for sure 3rd party with added "stalk" or dash mounted controller

Get the 2006 Brochure
Look up your sub-model and see if cruise was an option, if so then wiring is most likely there, if not then it won't be

the black shortbed I looked at doest have cruise but the red longbed (same year) does. Im leaning towrds the longbed. roughly the same milage but $1,000 cheaper and in better overall shape. (plus the red longbed has a sliding rear window and fairly new tires, the black shortbed also has a potential issue with the rear axle. It has pinholes in the cover and has been leaking awhile, who knows how low it is and how long its been ran low. Youd think a dealership would look underneath, I did just to see the frame & hanger brackets and of course looked under the butt to see if there was a spare (there was , a temporary tire) The leaking cover was very obvious.
