1998 Mazda b2500. Ac compressor locked up and killed engine. Towed it home and replaced serpentine belt with non ac belt and truck runs great. Now What all do I need to replace to be safe?

I poop in the furnace.
If just the clutch locked up it wouldn't effect the engine (the compressor would just constantly spin). In order for it to have stalled the engine the bearings would have seized which means you'll need a whole new compressor. Obviously this means you'll need to vacuum and refill the entire system.

FIFY.

When the compressor locks up it throws lots of little bits of metal into the system.

To be repaired correctly for a long lasting repair you will need a new orifice, new accumulator, any line that contains a muffler needs to be replaced and the whole rest of the system needs flushed out or replaced, or else you will likely suffer a repeat failure of the compressor.

His clutch bearing must of seized. Not sure why he could not turn the compressor off and drive on unless the large bearing that supports the clutch locked up.

To the original thread starter; Take your hand and see if you can spin the center part of the pulley, not the pulley itself. The center part is the compressor, the outside part is the pulley and the clutch bearing. If the center part still turns, your compressor may be ok. You can replace just the clutch part.

Crossed threads are tight threads.
Probably leaked all the freon out. Fix the leak and fill it to spec. You may want to replace the compressor (and accumulator/orifice tube). Dont get a cheap aftermarket compressor like "Four seasons" or duralast. Mine lasted one summer. I replaced it again and followed the ac resurrection article in the tech section. It was a PITA.
