Hoping maybe someone knows this. 93 4.0 wiring, I've got a 8 wire plug at the back of the engine. 5 of the wires I've identified as going to the neutral start switch. I have 3 wires left unidentified - red w/ tan stripe, tan w/ red stripe & blue w/ yellow stripe. Anybody know where these are going to end up ? The convertor and 3-4 solenoid wires and the 2 - 02 sensors are on different plugs.
Reason for all this is we pulled a '93 crate motor 4.0 (500 miles) out of a rolled '89 and we want to use the trans as well as it's low mileage.
We're putting these into a '94.
But the wiring on the '89 is all pretty butchered so we got a '93 engine harness at the wreckers, which seems to match up.
We want to have the engine wired up and dressed ahead of time so that it's just plug and play.
I just want to make sure that the '93 engine harness will plug into the '94 transmission harness and that the transmission harness will plug into the donor trans, preferably before we pull the truck apart.
