Its fine as long as you get your clutch clearances. The only reason the wavy is there is to cushion the engagement of forward gear so it dont bang going into drive. What kinda clutches you gona use?
I planned on using factory clutches. What do you recommend?
I've tried them all in c-6s and found the stock clutches to be as good as any, Better than most.

The reverse clutch from the 4r70w uses one less reverse clutch. That kind of bums me out but, It is only reverse. I have to use that in order to use the low gear set, and the wide band.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
i have tried most parts on the market.

the aod is my favorite trans, though they do rob power compared to a c4. i think mine is worse then a c6 right now.

i pretty much use the 70 guts so i get the diode sprag and circlip...you want the spiral lock clips, along with a b or a servo and 2 in od band. like mentioned the sun and such does not seem as robust. i have the super servo too but found when you eliminate the 3/4 cutback its not necessary.

the b/e shift kit is the absolute best i have used so far, i run the shifts mid to hard. combined with the supercoupe governor and a 2400+ stall it makes for a solid unit. i dont have big power and stayed with the lowest stall convertor as i was thinking i would have had a doubler sooner....i wish i would have stayed with the 2400 and the e cam in hindsight. alot better drivability with the 35's.

i got some stuff around, and if you would like i can bring you the seal installer kit to borrow as i will be on the other side of big rapids for a few more weeks and then probably right next to you for a few months.

just say the word and tell me where to drop it off.:3gears:

Thanks But, I have all the tools I need.
Question, What is the 3/4 cutback?
Where about will you be?

i am mckinney between new millpond and 20 right now, drilling/sidetracking to lateral a reentry...its only a 10000 footer. then it looks like evart somewhere after that. i think its only a 10-11000 footer as well, but its supposed to be turnkey.

theres a way to epoxy, or rubber plug the valve body to keep it from lowering the pressure on the 3/4 shift and pressure in 4. theres some pr mods too, superior has parts for that.

theres valve bodies available combining the rev/3rd apply for insane clutch capacity on spray cars. but those also require aftermarket input shafts/or elimination of the direct altogether....actually lentech has a trainload of killer parts for these. i have used thier stuff a few times.

i have twisted four inputs and one hardened input unit too, so its definatly a weak link. i had to quit getting after it in 4 low...:derisive: so keep that in mind.

That lentech site is a good one. Lots of good stuff there. Thanks!
They have the valve body I asked about earlier.
